Best 12 Volt Ride Toys Girls Want To Cruise In or On
Best 12 Volt Ride Toys – Girls Go Nuts
The Best 12 Volt Ride Toys Girls want today have come a long way from the days when I was a kid. They look like shrunk down versions of grown up vehicles for kid sized fun!
Little girls love to cruise around the yard or down the sidewalk. They want to ride to the neighborhood park on their very own ‘wheels’. They come in a variety of styles, from cars, to Jeep styles or trikes and quad type vehicles.
Three years ago when our daughter was 5 we got her this adorable “Surfer Girl” Jeep for Christmas. She has had a blast driving around the yard and carrying her toy ‘friends’ along with her.
You can see by her reaction in the photo above that she was so thrilled with finding this 12 Volt Ride Toy next to the tree on Christmas morning.
We purchased Sammie’s Kid Motorz Surfer Girl 12-Volt Battery-Powered Ride-On – Walmart.comSurfer Girl 12 Volt Ride Toy from Walmart mostly because it was for Christmas and it was too big to hide until Christmas morning. The price is virtually the same at both Walmart and Amazon so depending on which works best for you we’ve provided links to both.

When I was shopping for which 12 Volt Ride on to get for her, I had so much trouble choosing one that would last as long as possible so we would get the most value for the cost of the ride. They aren’t some fifty dollar toy that is purchased without a second thought.
For us, spending over 100.00 on a toy for a young child is something to really think about before jumping in. For some people cost is not an issue, but while we want our kids to have some awesome toys to enjoy in their childhood, it doesn’t mean you have to put your family in major debt to give them all the things we wish we could.
Why We Chose The Surfer Girl Jeep for the Best 12 Volt Ride Toys Girls Want:

So what made us decide on the Surfer Girl Jeep?
First off the price was less than many of the Power Wheels Jeeps for Girls. You can’t argue with spending less for comparable products. The reviews I was reading on multiple websites were really good, and I loved the mix of features and colors. Besides, Sammie just loves Pink and Purple!
- Two Forward Speeds – low is 2.5 mph and high is 5.0 mph
- Reverse is 2.5 mph
- Seats two kids with a max weight capacity of 130 lbs.
- Drop tailgate – added to the realistic play of the ride on toy
- ‘Radio’ plays music so she could ride and ‘jam’ to her tunes
Are We Happy With Our Choice in the Surfer Girl Jeep?
Yes! Sammie has enjoyed the Hot Pink and Purple Jeep for almost 4 years now, and it’s held up great! Even at 8 and a half years old she can still enjoy this 12 volt ride toy which actually surprised me, because I thought she would have outgrown it by now.
We only had to replace the battery once, and she can still hop in and take a cruise around the yard at any time. She doesn’t play on it as often anymore, as her interests are changing like the direction of the wind, but it is nice to know she can if she wants to.
High Speed (5 mph) and reverse gear are still going strong. She did burn out the low gear (slow speed) but that was because of some friends thinking they could pile 4 kids on it and make it go. I don’t think it would have been a problem if it was just Sammie and one friend that the Jeep is made for.
Below is a couple of short videos we made last year. Sammie still able to ride around on the Surfer Girl Jeep and one telling us about her favorite features.
Sammie shows off how the Surfer Girl 12 Volt Ride On Jeep handles our sandy driveway in the woods.
Sammie tells us about her favorite features in this short interview – it was cold out and she wanted to get back inside!
Would We Recommend The Surfer Girl Jeep?
Absolutely! The first year we were able to keep this ride on toy under a shelter but for the last 2 years it has just sat out in the weather in our back yard.
With Sammie’s waning interest in it, it is now full of leaves, we don’t keep it charged up like we used to (although the replacement battery we purchased has really impressed us with it’s holding the charge for weeks if not months!) But as you saw in the short videos we did it still is running strong even on a weaker charge and while the sounds hesitated after not being used for a while – they came to life with a little persuasion.
This 12 Volt Ride Toy really gave us our money’s worth and we would buy it again if we were in the market for another one.

Power Wheels Disney Frozen Jeep Wrangler
Disney’s Blockbuster Hit “Frozen” had only just been released when we bought our 12 Volt Ride Toy, so this Power Wheels version was not even available yet at the time, but if it had been – we probably would have chosen this one over the Surfer Girl we did buy. Why? Because Sammie is Nuts about Elsa and Anna and Everything Frozen!
The Power Wheels Frozen 12 Volt Jeep has many of the same features of the one we chose, with a few minor exceptions. Both have a low and high gear ( 2.5 mph and 5 mph) and reverse. Both look great and would provide our little girl the ability to drive around at a comfortable pace both for her and us.
I love the fact that the Frozen model shown here has working doors, and while I don’t think they would hold a child in, just the realism of having to open and close the door to get in would add to the pretend play factor.
The Surfer Girl Jeep doesn’t have doors. The Frozen model doesn’t have the drop tailgate or the music feature, but quite honestly if I had to listen to “Let it Go” any more than I already have – I would probably go insane!
Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Kawasaki KFX
Power Wheels Barbie Kawasaki KFX
The Power Wheels Barbie Kawasaki KFX one of the Best 12 Volt Ride Toys Girls want that we considered, and we almost bought it, but decided on the two seater Jeep style over the one person ride of the quad style toy.
We also weren’t sure how Sammie would handle the throttle control of the speed with this style of ATV for girls, but if your little one is ready for it we would say Go For It! There are over 300 positive reviews on Amazon for this very cool looking 12 volt ride toy.
The features are much the same as the Jeep style ride toys with a low and high speed, reverse and the safety stop feature. The Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Kawasaki KFX also offers music, and your little princess can ride in style with those shiny ‘chrome’ like wheels.
This ATV comes with the 12 volt battery & charger and holds a maximum weight of 65 lbs.
